Drew Ruttle to Represent Alliance Canada in Abu Dhabi Pro

Drew3
Last June Drew dominated the the Canadian Abu Dhabi Pro trials in Toronto winning his division and the open weight, combined purple, brown and black belt division. His prize was an all expense paid trip to Abu Dhabi to compete in the World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2011 on April 14-16. This tournament will have champions from all over North America and Brazil plus China, Japan, South Africa, Australia, Europe and the Middle East in an event sponsored by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. All of us that train with Drew are proud that someone from our gym could go so far. Good Luck! >>COMMENTS

Natalia01
Natalia medaled in four divisions at the 2011 Ontario Open International JJ Championship this past weekend. She took first place in NoGi – Blue & over Absolute, first place in NoGi – Blue & over Light and second in Gi Absolute and Gi Light weight. Matt Brotman and Chris Watson both from Joslin’s and Tyler from London all took gold in their divisions. Dylan Routledge, Joe Martin, Blair Bravender got silver and Reid Harkness, David Mallett, Matt Melo, Christian Herrera-parks and Chris Watson got bronze. I saw some great fights from everyone who came out to compete and hopefully we can keep the momentum going into future tournements. Anyone thinking of competing keep in mind that Grappler’s Quest is only a few short weeks away.
